  1. Hi! I really think it is a very good idea to play bingo when listening a song. It helps the children to improve their listening ability.

On the one hand I´m not sure how you will manage the game, for example, whether it is going to be a quiz or not, who will be the winner, whether the winner gets any prize, etc.

On the other hand I think every teacher can manage it as he/she wants and it would depends on the students characteristics.

  2. Hi Vanesa! First of all thanks for such good ideas to get ready for the Christmas season in class. I like this particular exercise because it is very complete and goes through listening, reading and speaking. As far as I am concerned, students find themselves very motivated while working with music and fun games.
The websites you suggest are so useful and interesting when it comes to culture and Christmas traditions, jokes in English speaking countries.
To cut a long story short, I have chosen this exercise because teaching a language is very related to teaching its traditions and culture.

  5. Congratulations Vanesa for your blog!

I really like the activity about Christmas. It´s a good idea to play a bingo with students who are 7-8 years old. I think they will be very motivated and at the same time they will be able to learn both culture and traditions.

Moreover, they will practice their listening with the Christmas carol and they will learn how to pronounce words correctly.

    Nice blog!

  6. Hi Vanesa!
Christmas is usually taught through songs, but here you have designed several activities to work on the different English skills but also on tradition and culture, it's great!
I had never thought of playing a bingo using a song, so thank you for the idea because it is easy to prepare and they are learning Christmas vocabulary while playing but improving their listening skill.
The website you provide is also useful and interesting. In short, congratulations!!

    Sara.

  7. Hello Vanesa,

I really like your blog and the name is pretty original! In fact, your activities have good explanations which is important if someone want to put one of them in practice. These kind of details make it a good blog!

About the last activity updated, called “Christmas is coming! Din din din!”, I think that talking about Christmas as a current subject, is a good idea. Using songs make the activity amusing and learning jokes is even more fun.

    Thanks,

  8. Hi there!
Congratulations for your innovative blog!! I think that it is the best of all that I have seen. I have learnt a lot with your blog. The aim of the activity is explained step by step and this is a good way to understand the activity. Thanks for the details related to the age, level, number of students,...
It is also important that pupils learn in a good atmosphere. For that reason I think essential that play in class is as important as individually study.
    Regards,
    Sara
